Saying Goodbye to Social Media
Is there an age range, an era, a time for an ordinary citizen to give up the daily hustle of posting and commenting on Threads, X, BlueSky and the rest? Can one go to a social media advisory counsel to put a social media retirement plan in place? This is the big question for me in this age.
I’ve spent much time mulling over this. Maybe I’m getting close to closing up shop because I’m not sure why I participate in the fray. It’s possible I’m trying to stay relevant in my own mind-keeping up with culture, Black Culture, current events and the like. It’s hard letting go-feeling like I won’t be able to have those same cool conversations with my daughter, because I don’t have the 411.
Could 2024 be my last year as my own Postwriter?
